Asda launches exclusive microsite
Asda has launched a mini-site dedicated to educating its customers about a wide range of foreign, British and regional beers.
A special one-stop for all beer loving customers needs, the microsite is entitled The Brewhouse and provides an interactive experience that encourages customers to give lesser known products a try while also educating them about different beers available in various parts of the world. Other sections of the site include food matching, which meals can be cooked with beer and also suggestions on which beers are suitable for certain occasions during the year such as Christmas and New Year as well as birthdays. In addition to this, Molson Coors Brewmaster Ms Kristy McCready also features in an exclusive video that explains how beer is made and which foods are best to go with it.
Over the last six months, the supermarket has worked with Molson Coors in order to develop the brand-new interactive site that will also focus on highlighting promotions. Drew Tiffin, who is Asda’s buying manager for beers, commented on how people often only suggest education customers on wine, despite beer having arguably as much to learn about it while also being a lot more popular in the UK.
Making her own statement, McCready seemed ambitious when explaining that she was pleased to see that Asda is taking such an active interest in both educating its customers about beer and the Brewhouse. Providing everything goes well, it is hoped that the website will entirely change the landscape of internet beer purchases in the UK.
