Cowell Orders Security To Surround Susan Boyle
Single life in small house proves too risky for rising star Susan Boyle.
Simon Cowell, who takes care of her career, is reported to have has hired the services of a team of security guards to look after and protect Susan Boyle following her most recent prowler hell incident.
The decision follows the discovery of an intruder in the 48-year-old Britain’s Got Talent runner-up’s council house in Scotland on Tuesday night.
The pop music mogul has called on a security firm to see that the performer never again goes through a similar experience at her Blackburn, West Lothian home.
Cowell has reportedly hired Edinburgh-based experts Clockwork Security for round-the-clock and infinite protection for Boyle.
A source close to the management team told reporters that Boyle’s safety was considered to be top priority.
Boyle’s living arrangements are not suitable for someone with such a high profile. The house is a sitting duck and the world is full of obsessed individuals who’d do anything to get close to such a star.
A few months ago, a Canadian man showed up on her doorstep after having sent her several love letters.
Ideally, the singer would proceed to change her living quarters and would choose one which would feature enhanced security characteristics such as gates and cameras.
Cowell is said to want Boyle to benefit from round the clock protection and is more than happy to pay for it.
According to another source, the pair discussed the matter yesterday and Cowell is reported to have to the performer that he would provide her all the support she requires.
Despite the recent scare, Boyle refuses to move from her modest home.
Earlier this week, Boyle collaborated with Cheryl Cole for the Haiti earthquake relief project track. The cover song, Everybody Hurts, by iconic US band REM, is due to be released on February 7. The project, a Cowell initiative, is said to feature a string of stars including Rod Stewart and Robbie Williams.
