Edinburgh to host premiere show of new fashion collection

Posted on August 17, 2009

Scotland’s capital city will be the first to see one of the most eagerly-awaited fashion collections of 2009.

A show featuring the latest creations for Topshop by Kate Moss is expected to be the highlight of a charity event in Edinburgh drawing celebrities from around the world. The preview of her autumn/winter collection will be the first time that Topshop executive Sir Philip Green has allowed the star model range to be shown at a fundraising catwalk show.

A number of exclusive items will be auctioned off, hopefully raise thousands of pounds to benefit the Muir Maxwell trust.

Items to be auctioned include a tiny Judith Lieber cupcake bag from the movie “Sex and the City”, one of only a very few she produced, and said to be worth £4,000. The auction will also give bidders a chance to acquire a copy of Vogue magazine that was signed by Kate Moss – or a Topshop £1000 VIP shopping spree.

The event will be hosted by Christopher Biggins, and will take place at The Balmoral Hotel. It is also hoped that Gok Wan, fashion expert, TV stylist and star of Channel ‘s series “How to Look Good Naked”, will also be there.
