Castell Henlly, Crymych, Pembrokeshire
Rebuilt on the location of an Iron Age hill fort, Castell Henllys is a real time machine where children are thrown back 2,000 years to an period of chieftains and Celtic myths. The Celtic Fun sessions are aimed at six- to 12-year-olds and are run by actors dressed in authentic costumes.

St Michael’s Mount, Marazion, Cornwall
St Michael’s Mount is evocative and enticing, particularly during low tide, when a cobbled pathway emerges from the sea, inviting visitors to walk across to the lovely islet which is topped with a medieval castle and church. Once on the island, visitors will discover a real little community busy at work in the gardens, shops, cafe and restaurant. The views from this island are simply spectacular and kids just love the pint-sized castle with its lovely chapel.

Conkers, National Forest, Moira, Derbyshire
Adventure playground, nature reserve, and science museum all in one; this 120-acre park offers outdoor and indoor entertainment and education with a forest twist.
