The 2000 motion picture “Charlie’s Angels” gained immediate success at the box office and was followed by a 2003 sequel “Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle.” In 2004, producers had considered a remake of the TV show, but the project never materialised.

Fawcett also sold an unprecedented amount of posters, breaking records in the process. He photograph where the actress poses with a red bathing suit is one of the highest grossing images of all time.

From 1973 to 1982, she was married to another American TV icon, Lee Majors, who was the star of The Six Million Dollar Man, which portrayed the exploits of a man partly rebuilt with mechanical parts.

Fawcett was also romantically involved with actor Ryan O’Neal from 1982 until 1997; then from 2001 until her death. The couple had one son, Redmond James O’Neal, born in 1985.

She died in June this year of anal cancer.
