The glamour girl told reporters that her decision was based on advice from her doctor who suggested staying at home instead, leaving the media to ponder whether Price and husband Alex Reid may now be preparing for their first child as a couple.

Price was due to join the 26-mile jog around the capital for the aid of Vision Charity – an organisation that raises valuable funds for children who suffer from dyslexia and visual impairments. She told reporters that she deeply regretted the decision to withdraw from the race, but gave no concrete reasons as to why, sparing a media frenzy of sorts.

Just last week Alex was forced to fend off a barrage of questions from the media over the possibility of the pitter-patter of tiny feet being on the way.

Price also told reporters that her preparations for the gruelling event had been going extremely well and that for a long time she has been eagerly looking forward to both running and making much-needed money for such a worthy cause. She did take part in last year’s event, with then husband singer Peter Andre, finishing the run in a little over seven hours.

Price’s seven-year-old son Harvey, from a past relationship, suffers from autism and is partially blind.

Reid, the cross-dressing cagefighter turned Britain’s new favourite TV personality after his win on the celebrity version of the much hyped Big Brother reality programme has obviously managed to raise his profile during his stint on the show.

Katie and Alex flew off to Las Vegas yesterday at the early hours of the morning and walked in their five-star accommodation — Planet Hollywood hotel on Sunset Strip – which was followed by a quick shower, a few glasses of champagne accompanied by some chocolate-dipped strawberries. Unable to decide, the gang drew straws which decided the faith of chef Gino D’Acampo and ex-topless model Sam Fox and, who jumped into the ocean as other returned to their stylish accommodations for an extra night of pampering.

Fox and D’Acampo used camp beds to catch a night of sleep. The following morning, the two were tested with creepy crawlers including crabs and water spiders as well as an octopus and eels in a bid to win food and beds for the camp.

Teams made up of the other nine remaining stars headed towards the celebrity camp, their home for the next three weeks.

Former Hollyoaks actor Stuart Manning, Snooker player Jimmy White, dancer Camilla Dallerup plus interior designer Justin Ryan were ordered to go trekking on horses.

Dallerup had o face a childhood fear since she fell off a horse at age 5, and said there was no way to get her on a the animal, while first time rider White struggled a little with four legged partner.

Actress Lucy Benjamin, Ryan’s TV partner Colin McAllister and ex-Mis-teeq singer Sabrina Washington were took a plane ride from which they had jump off at 12,000ft.

Washington and Benjamin panicked, although McAllister claimed the experience was better than Botox. He leaped right off the aircraft after claimed he was doing it for Scotland.

Benjamin screamed when it was her turn to face the huge fall.

The last celebrities, TV presenter Kim Woodburn and actor George Hamilton were ordered to trek back to camp on foot.

According to the singer, an ever increasing amount of lies are spread about him in the media every week. Andre thinks the papers would jump at this opportunity to spur more false rumours. He added that there’s way it can be done in a truthful and honest way, although he does remain hopefull about a healthier rapport with his former wife.

 Meanwhile, after being rumoured to have been with 5 different partners in just the space of a week, the singer has been wondering who his next girlfriend be.

Andre said that he had just learned that he had been having sex with the wife of his best friend. The singer can thank the huge British rag market for that one.
