Reid, the cross-dressing cagefighter turned Britain’s new favourite TV personality after his win on the celebrity version of the much hyped Big Brother reality programme has obviously managed to raise his profile during his stint on the show.

Katie and Alex flew off to Las Vegas yesterday at the early hours of the morning and walked in their five-star accommodation — Planet Hollywood hotel on Sunset Strip – which was followed by a quick shower, a few glasses of champagne accompanied by some chocolate-dipped strawberries. The love-birds then headed off to the Wynn Hotel for the wedding.

The filmed for TV 22 minute ceremony – attended by a handful of friends and relatives — started at 4pm Nevada time.

Amongst the invited guests was Diana Colbert, Katie’s publicist.

Once pronounced husband and wife, the pair kissed passionately in front of the cameras on hand.

A close source to Price said that the she came up with the idea when Reid was in the midst on Celebrity Big Brother. She said that Katie truly love’s Alex.

The two left the chapel only 30 minutes after entering it and appeared extremely happy and excited. They immediately headed off to their $10,000-a-night penthouse honeymoon suite.

Price, who was well known in the days of her youth as the busty pin-girl Jordan, had famously wedded pop star Peter Andre in a lavish affair in September 2005. Andre and Price revealed that they were separating in May 2009 following a three and half year marriage.

It emerged in July 2009 that Price was dating Reid.

Sir Philip runs and operates the Arcadia Group, the company behind Miss Selfridge and Topshop.

The 50-year-old X Factor judge said they are planning to broadcast two online shows per week which fans could view on a pay-per-view basis. 

The Cowell-Green team is currently carrying out negotiations with a major entertainment venue in Las Vegas.

Sir Philip told reporters that the global XFactor show will have a permanent home, broadcasted live Las Vegas. He added that the show will also have an online store.

He said that Las Vegas offered the perfect setting for this show. He added that the 12 finalists would be heading towards Las Vegas for their ultimate performances.

Cowell and Sir Philip told reporters that this version of the X Factor would be expanded to other countries if it proves to be a successful affair in Las Vegas.

The pop music mogul revealed that Formula One boss Bernie Ecclestone’s concept of Grand Prix events had left him with a very positive impression.

He said that both he and Sir Philipp have an excellent grasp over the yearnings of the public.

Cowell and Sir Philip have now known each other for a decade, having met in Monte Carlo ten years ago.

Cowell’ TV earnings from June 2008 to June 2009 have been estimated at $75m (£44.7m).
