Has anyone gotten used to Jordan’s expert use of the British media yet?

Only three weeks after quitting the jungle show and announcing live to the world that she was splitting up with beau Alex Reid, Katie Price has done a full 180 and is now back with her cross dressing cage fighter.

The couple was featured as Simon Cowell’s surprise guests on the much awaited X Factor final, showing up during their first public date since the notorious I’m A Celebrity dump(ing).

In recent days, the media had been full of comments stemming from Price’s pals, both male and female, claiming the famous-for-being-famous-Jordan needs a real man, one who could stand up for himself and not be bashed about by a starlet.

Katie told reporters backstage at the talent show that she had reunited with Reid. She claimed to take it easy, adding that she didn’t really care what others said or thought.

The pair had apparently made vast efforts to avoid being seen together by the press as they entered the Fountain Studios, where the X Factor is produced.

As soon as they arrived at the studio, Alex jumped out of the car and hid in a McDonald’s while Jordan kept on driving and subsequently made her grand entrance at the venue. Reid eventually entered the studio through a side door and met up with his grill later inside.

Despite making huge attempts not to be seen entering the studios together, once inside, the couple were all over each other with obvious and long public displays of affection, a testimony to their rekindled intimacy.

A few weeks ago, Price had decided to quit the jungle show claiming that the public kept being cruel towards her by continuously voting her to perform horrible and disgusting tasks, many involving repulsive creepy crawlers.

Followed a surreal period where she just came short of begging ex-husband Peter Andre to take her back. The two had met on the same show a few years back and her second stint at the game had obviously stirred some vivid memories.

The price war imminent on the high street during Christmas may well prove to more savage than what was experienced last year, a retail industry group has warned.

The British Retail Consortium (BRC) claimed that entire sections shopping streets could be swamped with red sale banners and posters in a bid to lure customers.

The BRC warning echoes recent figures demonstrating that consumer confidence has remained at the same level for the third consecutive month.

Consumer confidence index in the UK remained steady at 73 percent, stabilising from the positive surge experienced since January.

Chief economist at Nationwide Martin Gahbauer explained that consumer confidence had remained unchanged due to ongoing pessimism concerning the present economic situation instead of the future.

According to the BRC survey, 70% of the respondents now believe the British economy is not showing sign of health in the wake of the unveiling of the pre-Budget Report by the Chancellor.

Despite the current doom and gloom, the majority of the people interviewed did believe the economy will turn around in about 6 months as retailers all pulling all stops to convince shoppers to buy.

Clothing and footwear shops have already begun to promote their deals and shops specializing in electrical product are expected to follow suite.

Stephen Robertson, the director general at BRC, said huge cut-throat competition is contributing to the low prices as retailers squabble over shoppers with further offers and promotions than last year.

According to BRC, the annual rate of inflation experienced in retail was of 0.2% during the month of November, practically the same as a year ago.

The news was announced yesterday that there would fever taxes of fruits and vegetables.

In supermarkets, a surplus of some of these produces have induced a 10 percent price cut for all fruit and vegetables.

According to food industry publication The Grocer, a bag of a dozen popular fruits and vegetables ordinarily cost about £9.69 during the month of November, which represents a 9.9 per cent decrease during the same month last year.

Richard Dodd, a representative for British Retail Consortium, said this is welcomed news for people who are attetmpting to eat more healthily. Among falling food prices, vegetables and Fresh fruit are the top performers.

Mr Dodd said that many crops have been larger than last year, both in the UK and abroad, and food retailers are helping producers and customers by having promotions that stimulate demand and reduce prices.

Despite the Government urging all people to consume at least five portions of fruit and vegetables per day, a study for The Grocer magazine earlier this year revealed that many people were curbing efforts to eat healthily because of the recession

The Grocer magazine said said that prices could no longer be used as excuses for not eating healthily, with prices dropping across The Grocer’s fruit and vegetable section with many dramatically less expensive than twelve months ago.
The biggest price fall is experienced by banana-lovers. On average, the fruit is 36 per cent less expensive than last year. Fresh lemons and garlic are 20 per cent cheaper, as apples and onions are 16 per cent less.

Other less expensive produce are oranges, iceberg lettuces and cauliflowers.

Katie Price walked away from the “I’m A Celebrity…” show claiming she was missing her three kids, but as it appears at the moment, Jordan is not ready for hugs and kisses from her little ones, despite the numerous calls from ex-hubby Peter Andre.

It emerged yesterday that the glamour girl is planning to stay in Australia until at least December 5.

Price, 31, is reported to be having a great time out in the sunshine, shopping, drinking champagne, eating at restaurants with friends and doing God knows what a sexy, young, single and rich lady does.

She was spotted on the Gold Coast yesterday wearing a microphone and being followed by cameramen, basically working on her reality TV programme.

Price said she was originally under contract until December 5 for the jungle show.

Just a few days ago, she was heard saying that she HAD to go back home and see her kids.

The image that we have today differs enormously from the one we had not even 48 hours ago. At that time, most of us believed that she was ‘this close’ to throwing herself at Andre’s feet and begging him to take her back.

After splitting from her muscular cross-dressing cage-fighter beau Alex Reid 5 minutes before going on air for an interview, Katie publicly apologised for her behaviour in the last few months or so, ever since Peter and her called it quits. She even branded herself as being a real ”twit”. Yep! I think we can all agree about that Katie and so were the interviewers.

Rumours had been flying that Reid was ready to propose to her. We can all imagine the scene. Alex rushing to his bride to be with a bleeding heart in one hand, a rose in the other and a diamond in his shirt pocket and BANG!!! Just like a fly that hits your windshield.

He was seen crying on some Australian street talking on the phone.

But Alex will one day realise that this very instant is what saved his soul. He’ll be fine.

Meanwhile, it was confirmed by ITV that Price remains under contract to the channel until December 5, which is when the final of the jungle show will happen.

Interesting. I’m I the only one who thinks she’ll be back on the show?

Let’s see. She loves to be controversial and most of this country loves to see her being controversial. She’s fantastic at being… What is she good at again? Oh yeah. She’s still around in Australia. Let me see mmmm…..mmmmm…. Kaaaatching!: computer says comeback to the jungle.
